Over a Century
of Fine Food

The history of the Galluzzo family originates in a small town near Palermo, Sicily. But the modern story takes place in Portland, Oregon, and Cabo San Lucas, México, where the family has been in the food business for over 100 years, with each successive generation building upon the achievements of the ones that came before.

Frank Galluzzo was the first in the family to venture into the food business, as an old-fashioned horse and cart vendor selling produce in Portland. His son Salvatore continued the tradition, but took a more modern approach, operating a wholesale meat market in Portland for many years. It was Salvatore’s son Tim, however, who finally opened the first restaurant, in Cabo San Lucas.

Today, Tim’s sons Matt and Sam Galluzzo continue to run this restaurant, which was started by their father and named for their grandfather, and cooks up delicious food made from recipes that were sourced from many other family members, across multiple generations.
So it’s not just a clever catchphrase – food really is the family business!
